The book "For the sake of Great Azerbaijan", dedicated to the social and political activities of Aziz Aliyev, a state and party figure who left a prominent mark on the history of Azerbaijan, diplomat, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Doctor, and Aziz Aliyev, has been presented to English-speaking readers.
Based on archival documents, the author sheds light on the years of Aziz Aliyev's work in South Azerbaijan and Dagestan, referring to archival documents recently released into public circulation, and looks at the events of that period from a new perspective.
In particular, the book notes that at the height of the war, certain forces in Moscow were preparing to put the issue of the resettlement of the Caucasian peoples to Central Asia before the USSR State Defense Council, and the first choice fell on the peoples of Dagestan.
